How to cook chicken tacos and some tips to be successful when cooking ?
Cooking can be difficult in the beginning but gaining practice overtime and learning some tips can save you from spending too much money on meals, food poisoning and eat much healthier. I will give you step by step process to make chicken tacos which is an easy recipe for beginners. Maybe in the beginning your first cooking will be raw, salty, no flavor or in most cases burned, but do not panic, it's a matter of having patience and time to become like a chef.
Tips before cooking chicken tacos
- To have your chicken more juicy let it marinate for 15 minutes, add 1 cup of orange juice and chicken seasoning this with help the chicken to be more tender and not to be so dry.
- Always preheat your saucepan and add 2 teaspoons of oil so it can heat try to put it on medium heat this will help not to get burned with the oil and avoid your chicken from getting burned. Hint:to know when is the oil hot had a pinch of salt and if it bubbles it's ready
- When measuring use measuring cups, tablespoon, or teaspoons to help you add the right amount of condiments, flavor broth, oil, etc.
- Read the instructions carefully, so you do not mess up if you want to avoid your food getting into the garbage can.
- Take your time and have patience.
Recipe for chicken tacos
Step 1: Gather your ingredients you will need 1 pound of chicken breast, half onion, half bunch of cilantro, 1 cup of sour orange marinade,1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, 1 teaspoon of chicken seasoning and salt
Step 2: Cut your chicken breast into thin strips, then add one teaspoon of your favorite chicken seasoning and 1 cup of sour orange marinade I personally use the brand "la preferida" to marinate my chicken but is up to you
Step 3: While the chicken is marinating you can dice 1/2 of an onion and some cilantro to add to your tacos later.
Step 2: Cut your chicken breast into thin strips, then add one teaspoon of your favorite chicken seasoning and 1 cup of sour orange marinade I personally use the brand "la preferida" to marinate my chicken but is up to you
Step 4: Preheat your saucepan and add 1 tablespoon of oil once your oil is hot add your chicken and let it cook 15 to 20 minutes. Stir every five minutes so it cooks right.
Step 5: Heat your corn tortillas 1 minute on each side, then prepare your tacos add the onion and cilantro you can also add some drops of lemon and salsa that you can purchase at the store. Enjoy !

Believe it or not cooking for yourself has some benefits such as saving money, less risk for food poisoning and healthier.
Saving money We tend to spend too much money on meals because we don't know how to cook or we just too lazy to. We end up realizing until we have less money on our bank account. Now that I am in college, I need to save money. I would suggest to you all and to myself that cooking is an easy and quick way to save you money. For example if you go out and eat at a restaurant you would be spending around $12 to $15 on a dinner plate, but not only that you still need your drink and order an appetizer while you wait on your order. Your check will be around $20 or more. You spending around $150 a week if you eat out for breakfast, lunch and dinner without considering the gas your wasting on you trips to eat out. Compare to if you do grocery shopping for all three meals of the day you can save up to 15% less than eating out and you save gas money.
Less risk for Food poisoning
Most of you have got sick after eating out because of food poisoning. Food poisoning can be caused by contaminated or expired food. Even though you are craving for a double quarter Pound from McDonald's you are not aware of where they cooked the meat, if the grill was well cleaned or if the person cooking it washed their hands or used gloves. In some cases restaurant do not have hygiene until inspection comes to check and do their routine to make sure everything looks good and people consuming in their do not get sick. Symptoms can be vomiting, nausea, diarrhea and stomach pain if you are experiencing these symptoms I would recommend to take medicine to help or if you do not seem to get better go see a doctor because it can be something worse.Healthier
It is much healthier less calories, fats, and fresh. You can moderate how much of everything you want on your food. For instance if you are trying to be on a diet you can reduce the amount of cooking oil or carbs when you cook and maintain a balance.You can even substitute corn oil for olive oil or almond oil. And you do not have to worry about having the temptation to eat fast food that has lots of calories that will cause you to gain weight really quick. The food you cook is fresh, not out of the package like some frozen food that they sell at the store that has been their for many days and you just cook it in the microwave.
